HCT is a San Francisco based innovator focused on improving the quality and safety of coatings and paint for industrial and commercial customers around the world. We are the exclusive licensee of Green Polyurethane™ coatings and paint – the world’s first-ever polyurethane-based coatings and paint products which eliminate toxic isocyanates from the entire production process and provide significant improved mechanical properties over conventional polyurethane-based coatings and paint (licensed by Nanotech Industries, Inc.).
HCT’s first target market for its novel coatings is the industrial and Specialty Coatings market, which is currently valued at $38.8 billion and predicted to see steady growth around 4-5%. Green Polyurethane™ has superior mechanical properties compared to conventional polyurethane products, in part, because it is based on novel materials created at the nano scale. The market for nanocoatings today is $3.4 billion and growing at an astonishing rate of 39.5% and is predicted to reach $18 billion in value by 2015. HCT believes that increasing environmental regulatory pressures to phase out toxic substances like isocyanates used in conventional polyurethane and the basic economic advantages of its Green Polyurethane™ coatings and paint position the company for substantial growth in the coming years.
