The startup part of this company is mostly in the swap stations I guess, which will require lots of money to build a network. Swapping has advantages, but the main disadvantage is in the high cost of having to build and supply such a station. The battery is an expensive part of the vehicle and unlike gas stations or charging stations the product they sell/lease only applies to a certain model of cars.
Could become very big if it catches on, but will remain relatively small (taxi´s and buses) if it doesn´t.
