The US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) has revealed further details regarding the latest Mk V Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit (TALOS) ahead of the delivery of a first prototype towards the end of 2018.

According to the Special Operations Research, Development, and Acquisition Center's Joint Acquisition Task Force (JATF) programme manager, Colonel Jim Miller, the process of building parts and connecting them together has already begun.

"It's getting very real because we are building it right now," he explained to the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC) on 17 May. "We may just revolutionise the dismounted SOF operator. It's all about small steps and sometimes you get lucky and get a big leap.
