Encapsulation is supposedly a coating on micron sized particles of precious metals that defies the fire assay or smelting process. Usually it is claimed to be a silica coating, but in the case of ECPN, georgie was implying that ECPN is claiming some kind of iron coating. I haven't read their technical explanations of why fire assay doesn't work, or standard smelting procedures doesn't work, but it is all BS of course. There is no ore that a standard fire assay cannot accurately be used on, to establish a grade. No matter how the particles of precious metals are supposedly "encapsulated".
There is no funky coating that would not be melted in the fire assay process. Same goes for smelting.
