"He would never show his cards at a hearing."

Why do people keep saying this ridiculous statement?!? It was a freaking testimony in front of Congress, not a casual conversation with a bunch of poker buddies. Lying or misleading Congress is punishable by up to 5 years in prison!

If a subpoenaed witness decided to withhold answers during a criminal trial, would you be applauding them? It's the same thing! And I'll tell ya what...that witness withholding answers would be facing some jail time for not answering.

"Instead, he was vague and told them what they wanted to hear for now.
Especially because Crooked Corker has been stalking and calling Mnuchin and other senators trying to win them over to his hidden crooked agenda."

Another ridiculously repeated sentence that I keep hearing. What do you think Mnuchin has to lose, anyway? He has already been confirmed. He has the job. He can do whatever he wants now. Congress can disagree all they want. As long as his plan isn't reckless, he's safe. He has no reason to be vague. Did you see how Watt and Corker argued? That's allowed! The only feasible explanations as to why Mnuchin would be vague in his answers now is that he either 1.) Has no idea what he's doing or 2.) Knows what he's doing and knows it is shady, but plans to do it anyway.

There are just no other possibilities.

"Mnuchin has a strategy and is extremely smart."

This, I don't doubt... It's why I don't think he'll be helping us.
