I'd love to see a CASM analysis of a 30 year old 767-300ER vs. a brand new efficient 737 MAX. I'm guessing the 737 has the edge. Less weight, fewer crew to pay, etc.

Yes, people prefer widebodies for long flights. But at the end of the day, the seat you're in is the same kind of seat. But a 2017 model any kind of aircraft will be far more comfortable inside than a 1990 era 767.
