Off topic-- the last line of that article, the quote from the cattlemen's assoc. guy, horrifies me:
"We look forward to providing nearly 1.4 billion new customers in China with the same US beef that we feed our families."

Given that a disturbing, unrefuted report by two eminent World Bank scientists in 2009 indicated that "at least 51% of global greenhouse gases" are caused by the livestock industry (not 14-18% as previously reported in a disturbing-enough statement by UN FAO in 2006)...

then this planet will be toast due to worsening climate change.

Those two World Bank scientists, the late Robert Goodland and his younger colleague Jeff Anhang, were both strongly recommending that as many people as possible shift toward a plant-based diet (the traditional diet of billions of East Asians over the centuries) as our only hope to mitigate the calamitous effects of climate change.
