I am not disagreeing with that assumption, after all the proof is in the pudding. The facts are that Spectrum is clearly superior to MacroGenics using the financial parameters looked at by the CML comparison and should have a higher market cap than MGNX but yet is 41% lower. I clearly see that as the Raj factor to some extent with regards to his, let’s call it, exaggerating the truth. The street clearly doesn’t trust what he says. But the other part of that is Spectrum has clearly not been fulfilling its goals over the last few years. So I see 2 ways of getting rid of this negative factor. One is obvious and that is for Dr Raj to step down and for the BOD to hire an outstanding CEO to replace him. I don’t think hiring from within the organization will do it. The other is for his actions to be louder than words and start fulfilling the goals they mention in a timely manner. He’s excited about Rolontis and claims recruitment for the Phase 3 is going well, well, let’s not have to wait till next year to hear about that. From the quarterly CC, from the pace of recruitment he indicated, it looks like they will close recruitment by September or earlier. Let’s not have to wait for Dec or later to hear that this occurred. The same with poziotinib, they just keep on pushing deadlines back so when he says we will hear about interim data in EGFR exon 20 insertions NSCLC this year, well, ensure that we do. Hey, if the drug doesn’t work in that indication, we know it’s one tough nut to crack, let us know, just don’t keep us hanging. At least we’ll learn to give you a little more trust if you are honest w us. WYSIWYG would go a long way in removing that negative factor to the MC. And in addition to that if we hear positive news of what I was mentioning above, the MC should rise up much further than that. Having said all that, I think removing Raj will only increase the MC a little bit unless the new CEO they hire has an outstanding reputation since the bottom line is they want to see results no matter who is the CEO and if the new CEO doesn’t have an outstanding reputation the street won’t believe that the new CEO will be any different than the old one. If Dr Raj does what he preaches, I’m OK with him at the helm but he hasn’t really shown that so far. If Dr Raj does what he preaches on the goals he set this year, I still see SPPI MC way higher than it is now.

Anyhow, I found this comparison of MGNX vs SPPI to be highly enlightening and I will put MGNX on my watch list, not to invest in, but as a useful benchmark to compare to SPPI.
