It takes at least 6 years to put a major oil find online. ANWAR is the same situation. The difference with ANWAR is that we dont have a refinery in this country that can refine oil that heavy.

In terms of the low gas prices, keep in mind that it is election season. All of the money pumped into the campaigns of incumbents has been money well spent by the oil companies, and they want them back in office (regardless of party). Lower fuel prices will help that happen. It is only for a few months!!!
