May 10-What an unsual day Tuesday was in terms of weather. The corduroy shirt wasn't enough to keep back the chill in the morning. The nimbus clouds threatened rain all morning. I thought, is it going to be like this all day? The clouds dispersed by lunchtime, but I lacked the energy for the bus ride to Bobby's stable. I napped in the chair with the cat until 1:30 then got up feeling pooped. I took a couple of aspirin and tried to get stirring. If I move around I can work.

By day's end, 6 more pepper plants went into the bed. I sowed some acorn squash seed in a hill I prepared with a bucket of compost. The same for some lemon cucumber seeds Dreama gave me. I added a couple of Mammoth Russian sunflower seeds. I watered all the beds. I gathered some buckets for a manure run with a rented truck next week. So I did accomplish something before it was time to head home.

This morning I will try for a bus ride, and then another in the afternoon to finish transplanting 12 pepper plants. I think they're mostly Fatalli and Peach Habanero. Anyway, they look healthy, the healthiest of the group of pepper plants.

Old Cadillacs never die. The finance company take 'em and faaaaade 'em away.
