I believe FAN (Facebook Audience Network) will be competing side by side with Google Adsense in the next 5 years. When they gain a large share of advertising publishers they will be able to lower the actual CPC (cost per click) for advertisers while increasing revenue by building a larger audience. (Having website publisher place their ads on their websites)
