Robin Heath gives a great lecture on the cycles of the moon and how it relates to the calculation of money specie interest. Ironic you said that. The truth is our moon does not fit into a square calendar. We should use a round calendar. Newton said the hardest thing for him to calculate was the three bodies, sun, moon and earth. Still we have. 365.25 day long year....so until we have round calendars we will have manipulation of mankinds understanding of time. Thus we will have manipulation of money.
