mr40, I've told my VA story here before now. I had medical problems that occurred in the Army. In 2000 I decided I had to have VA help and applied for it. Was told to get lost. That occurred each year from 2000 to 2012, with paperwork accompanying. In 2012 I contacted our good Nevada senator's office, Senator Heller. One of his assts (Brad) asked to come to the local office and bring all my paperwork. He assured me that the VA would never tell him to get lost. He sent my paperwork on Senator Heller's letterhead paper to the VA. Two weeks later they phoned me and asked me what I wanted? Testing, I told them. They did, and have treated my like a respected honorable discharged vet ever since. I'm not fond of the VA. Few are.
