Thoroughbred Racing

I've a good friend in NJ who has not had a horse to race for several years but now has 2 (a 3 yr old colt and a 2 year old filly) coming to the track within the next month or so. I mentioned that I really like Irish War cry and he shared this with me. Thought you ight enjoy it also.

I'll be watching most of the Oaks and Derby cards, although it's not as enjoyable when the track is off. I'll also be rooting for Irish War Cry, as he's an NJ bred. His owners are (2) 80+ year old granddaughters of Avery Haskel who are primarily hoping to run well so that their horse gets invited to the Haskel! One of the women was a race car driver some 60 years ago, who succeeded in a sport totally dominated by men. So, it's a really good story.
