Dreamlife’s Mark McKelvey was the project manager at NASA for a project building a new type of telescope that could filter out glare and diffraction from a star to be able to see earth like planets close to the sun in other solar systems.

He does have high level optical engineering skills. All the people on the DL Team have the right skills and reputations to protect that make the crazy technology they are proposing seem real.
