Ironically, U.S. shale production has increased by almost exactly the amount that Saudi production has declined by, suggesting that Saudi Arabia is losing market share not only to Iraq and Iran, but also to US oil producers.

Article more on world demand, but clearly OPEC has been playing with US for DECADES upon DECADES in terms of price control. Tides may turn a bit now with TEXAS and MMEX is at the cusp of tapping into Mexican and South American demand which clearly would be MUCH MUCH more efficiently transported from Texas vs. Middle East.
