Not really worth attending oral hearings IMHO as you can never 'really' glean which way judges are leaning.

Lines of questioning from judges can be 'clarifying' and often taken the wrong way. While everyone loves to handicap rulings based off orals at scotus for instance, you never really can tell what judges are trying to do.

They push each side pretty hard to ensure they fully understand arguments and usually one's bias causes them to read into the hard shove on the side they want to lose as positive while ignoring the pushes to their side!

That being said, recordings of oral hearings are put on the CAFC post the hearing (not sure how long it takes to post after). So you can always listen for yourself vs attend (unless of course you live near by then what the heck may as well if you have time!)
