My choir director at church, Bob Doll, taught me in Sunday school with my dad that those "things" companies too big to fail, like Exxon and mobile or BP, are also too big to grow. Like Indiana Jones' father said, "only the pentitent man will succeed" as Harrison Ford's character knelt before nothing and a blade flew by the tips of his hat's edge. In nature, it's those things which have broken and healed that succeed and grow the strongest roots and bonds. Without failure, you can't have success, and any success that doesn't anticipate and have experience with overcoming failure is a recipe for an even greater failure to come. I trust that a runner who has fallen and gotten back up is capable of performing that feat over again more than a runner who has never fallen and is tripped by something unseen in the future. I.e. Superman was merely riding a horse when he lost his ability to walk and speak. Today, I'm rooting for Aquaman to score with Wonder Woman and superman to fall out out of the sky and into the infirmary for a few months with broken wings. He will come back, but everyone messes up eventually. It's those who know how to get back up that succeed.
