Been thinking of capital raises. Why is it when non public companies do this it is applauded as a good thing, even though it dilutes other investors?? If the funds are being used to grow the business, it is a necessary process. If a Unicorn does it, it is applauded as a good sign. If it is being done by a public co., it is interpreted to be evil. If any company, public or private, has willing investors to inject capital, it should be viewed as long term positive, although is usually short term painful.
