Plantar-fasciitis - I had that long ago (BI=before internet). Very painful in the morning when you first step out of bed.
I went to the library (remember those big buildings with paper books) and found a book on athletic injuries. (me athletic - ha ha)
I still remember the strapping method for supporting the underside of the foot.
Took weeks to heal, but it worked.
