In regard to JK,

"He also visited the Onev office weekly to see if he could help in Mexico..He belived enough in the tech..to demo it to the carriers there."

Another plausible reason could be that he "was in so deep he felt compelled to try to sell it to the carriers there?" (as opposed to believing in the tech?)
