According to Yahoo fiance, Fannie has cash in the bank of $16.66 per share.
Are you afraid to buy a stock for $2.95 that has $16.66 cash in the bank?

I'd suggest you use a more reliable source for correct financial data than Yahoo. They have $5.20 per share of cash comprised of $62.18b of which $31.54b is restricted and already committed to consolidated trusts.

The issue isn't the value of their cash. The issue is the value of their assets against their liabilities, and accounting for a near future impairment charge. Having $5.20 per share of cash in the bank does no good if liabilities equal $5.21 per share.
