April 26-Plant, plant, plant. And more to come for the next couple of weeks. How will I ever organize it all? The best I can is begin task/projects, do a little each day until it's time for the next batch of task/projects. I put in 5 tomato plants, three eggplants, two peppers. In between was preparations for melon planting, and cucumber planting. I've spaded up soil next to the ledge and put in six hills National Pickling cukes. I've added manure to watermelon hills, and started a couple of cantaloupe hills. I worked up some soil in the raised bed closest to the mobile office -- six feet -- and planted Red Cored Chantenay carrot seed. They will have to water consistently, sometimes twice a day.

While pulling up lettuces I noticed a couple of Whit Icicle radishes from seed I had from last season. I washed them and took them to Ali. He them -- and the leaves. I tried a radish leaf. Not bad by itself and better with maybe a little olive, salt, and cider vinegar.

Tomorrow I will incorporate some manure in a hill I made and set seeds for the Charentais cantaloupe. It's actually not that pretty in appearance, but from a taste standpoint, it beats any from the supermarket.

Old Cadillacs never die. The finance company take 'em and faaaaade 'em away.
