Seems obvious but yeah I can explain. Up till the point where Dimension won the case proving TMM had no rights to the VDK codec other companies would of course been reluctant to license from Dimension. Harm done in the mega millions by the software thieves!

Once Dimension won the case and confirmed their ownership rights, that problem no longer existed, much like TMM itself, and Dimension marched forwards.
