Agreed. They would likely be happy to share and cooperate if they owned interests in each of blocks 2, 3 and 4.

Any suggestions on how that could be accomplished? In fact, how could they maximize their interests in all the blocks? Recall this post from the Phantmeister:

Kind of brings us back to Jeff Schrulls "placement" on the Addax team IMHO. Agreed that majors buy proven and proven won't arrive until drilling results are in. In the mean time, to remain in control.....you place your man on the team you plan on aquiring. Simple and logical.

It matches Addax's IR response to THETUNEMAN:

"In addition, we have taken the lead to coordinate the operators of Blocks 1-4 (including Anadarko, Sinopec, Chevron and ourselves) in order to jointly contract a deepwater rig to drill the first 6 exploration wells (3 of which are on Block 4)."

Yep.....minnow Addax takes the lead over Chevron, Anadarko and Sinopec. Hardly IMHO. The writing is written in permanent marker IMHO.
