Hyundai.
Kia.
Proto.
Renault Samsung Motors.
SsangYong.
Now SB did say major, so it stands to reason that Kia or Hyundai could be one of the two. However, it does not entirely rule out the other three. BUT...
Proto works alongside Hyundai or Kia, and is not what one could consider 'major'. They make flashy sports cars. Probably not one of the two.
Renault--a small maker owned in part by Samsung that has only one factory worldwide, in South Korea. This is a specialty auto and has struggled in recent times. Not considered as 'major' as Kia or Hyundai, but a possible contender. Given that the PR talked dealers in seven other countries, this is most likely NOT one of the two. But they cannot be ruled out.
SsangYong Motor Company is the fourth largest South Korea-based automobile manufacturer. Most of their cars are driven in Russia and Ukraine. Probably not one of the two, since Russia and Ukraine were NOT mentioned in the PR.
I believe LastOneSitting is correct to assume that we landed KIA or HYUNDAI, given the above. Odds are in our favor here.
