J cali....I have said that before that IPCI really really really needs to working on a partner here. Not only will they need to compete against Lyric but also generics! It will take roughly 2 years possibly 3 to get to market if they partnered now.

That being said, the benfit of doing the NDA is the fact it will be an Extended release rather than multiple doses and they claim they get better pain management. They will need a good partner with strong sales to break into the market.

A similar comparison I found was SUPN and Trokendi which came out with a extended release Tropomax. It took them 3 years after they received approved but sales this year should hit 250 million capturing roughly 10% of the 2.4 billion market. so it can be done, but they really need to be working on it.

however, there is double edge sword. if they started now all we would hear is complaints of the company spending more money and god forbid they need to have another offering, so they shelved it until its partnered.
