BEFORE YOU CRITIQUE ALTMAN'S MODEL WHY NOT READ WHAT HE HAS WRITTEN

Altman is in his field every bit as respected as Krugger and Dunning are in theirs. Yet you happily salute their work, but denigrate his. Why?

What do you know about his model? If you have a genuine critique of it please inform us.

What is most impressive about Altman's model is it was formulated based on data from 1946 - 1966 (aprox). It then was applied to data from 1966 - 1086, totally outside of the sample used to estimate the discriminant function and it worked with no degradation in accuracy. Anyone who understand the first thing about data analysis knows that this sort of acid test is impressive.

Lo and behold the model comes to the same conclusion you do...NNVC will fail.
