Nice note today from Investor Relations at Neurotrope...

I got a nice note today from Jeffrey Benison, the Communications Director at Neurotrope. I had emailed him to clarify a couple of things. First, he very kindly said he was sorry to hear that my dad is going through the Alzheimer's process.

Second, he confirmed that the information on the clinical trials result will be released by Neurotrope (Not the people who conducted the trial) and that the timing is expected by the end of this month.

If the company is releasing the results this week, it is a fair assumption that the principals of the company already know the results. They have the data in hand and are busily writing news releases and creating powerpoint presentations. My question to Mr. Benison: If that information is known to the principals at NTRP, are they making investment decisions (i.e. selling shares) based on the results? His answer was clear: "What you are asking is if the company is trading on inside information, and no one at the company would do that."

There may be a tendency to think that the losses of the past two trading days are the results of people "in the know" dumping their shares ahead of the clinical trial results. Mr. Benison says that is not happening. I appreciate his kind words about my dad, and his assurance of the integrity of the NTRP team. Best of luck to all.
