I think you're not getting the r/s. After r/s your value for the 4 shares is $25.00 each. It's still $100.00. Unless the stock plummets.

At point of r/s it still the same value. If it splits and your 100 shares go to 1000 shares it's still the same value even though you have more shares. Same thing happens with a r/s. $100.00= $100.00. Your price per share goes up proportional to the r/s.
