Ackman met Donald Trump 20 years ago. He never discussed the GSE's with him. Here is the interview of him discussing his brief encounter with Donald Trump:



There's been no record of him meeting with him since. Furthermore, Paulson owns preferreds. Berkowitz owns preferreds. And, Ackman as of December 2016 has been buying preferreds. Hmmm. Could it be because the tangible equity value in relation to the priority rule makes sense? Me thinks so.
