@flaviker, you do not US law. The FBI can not stop the transfer of the assets to the noteholders when Echo defaults on the note.

The FBI can only bring forth info to the District Attorney to prosecute. The FBI would need strong evidence that Echo entered into the agreement with the noteholders knowing that Echo would never be able to pay the debt owed to the noteholders. That would be fraud on behalf of all the principals of Echo. It would not nullify the agreement between echo and the noteholders.
