Several have wondered why no comments have been forthcoming as regards about the European Coatings Show.
I've been trying to find news about the show without any luck and today have finally found 'the official news' of the show....
Perhaps it has taken some time to produce but here it is:

It is a pdf file (The actual magazine) with full pages, color and all.
I was looking for the HCTI booth, of course (Silly me!) It was, after all the European Show and clearly it was the show's producers that made it a point to feature European manufacturers and scientists (even if it meant totally ignoring Asian and No American) as well they should, I suppose.
I also was looking for mention of 'isocyanates' and only found a reference in an article about Covestro and its bio-based coating w/'bio-based isocyanates'...not sure there could be such a thing but ...
Yup, that is what it says and I quote: 'One example can be seen at
Covestro’s stand in hall 7A where
the company is presenting a
car which has been coated with
a finish that was produced with
a bio-based isocyanate. There is
no false modesty when Covestro
is talking about this product. The
company claims that it has the
world’s first crosslinker with significant
renewable content without
any performance expense. (Page 4)
It would still be nice to know how much attention the Hybrid booth had, although the emphasis was on it own-Euro cos. I didn't even see DOW which I'd suspected had gone whole hog with their environmentally-friendly 'non-iso' Paraloid product, but as you see there was either little or no mention...
Not even the Chinese got much play here. As I mentioned, I can understand; after all the 'Americans' get more than their share of world attention on almost any given day.
