Congressman LaHood's Staff Backs Homeland Security's Funding Trident's ProMag

LAS VEGAS, Aug 6, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- The Peoria-based staff of Congressman
Ray LaHood (R-Ill), Chairman of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence
and the Subcommittee On Terrorism and Homeland Security has presented Trident's
ProMag rare-earth permanent magnet-powered quick sealing system to the
Department of Homeland Security for potential funding in order to enable the
nation's 31,000-plus fire departments to purchase ProMag systems as part of the
regular equipment package carried on fire engines and trucks. The systems, which
have received enthusiastic endorsements from the Los Angeles Fire Department and
the Chicago Fire Department, would give to the fire departments of the nation
the ability to quickly and inexpensively seal leaks and ruptures in storage
tanks and pipelines (among many applications) caused by terrorist activity. The
ProMag system employs super powerful magnets to affix leak and rupture sealing
patches, even when the leak or rupture involves hazardous or corrosive
materials. ProMag's value to the safety of the public and the environment is
considerable. No other device or product available today can equal ProMag's
performance.

Arland Dunn, Chairman and CEO of 21st Century Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: TFCT)
said, "The average fire department in this country operates 2 (and a fraction)
fire trucks/engines per department. Trident, our wholly-owned subsidiary, will
equip them with ProMags, greatly increasing their effectiveness as
anti-terrorism tools, working to protect the citizens and security interests of
this country. The only problem has been the general lack of money. The
availability of federal funding to the individual fire departments to purchase
ProMags will be a wise investment in our future. Tank farms, pipelines, railroad
tank cars are all easy and prime targets for terrorist activities. The ready
availability of ProMag through our fire departments enhances our well-being as a
nation. We are ready to respond to the call of the Bravest of our country to
provide to them our terrorist-blunting ProMags."

Commenting further on Congressman LaHood's Peoria-based staff's interest in
ProMag, Chairman Dunn said, "They saw quickly the value of providing federal
funding to our fire departments to enable the acquisition of ProMags. Our
business will benefit, obviously. And so will our Nation's guard against
terrorist actions on our soil."

21st Century's Trident Technologies Inc. manufactures two versions of its
magnet-powered sealing devices; ProMag, designed for land-based applications,
and SeaPatch, designed for marine applications. Trident's powerful magnetic seal
systems are becoming established in the marketplace. Among its users are some of
the world's largest corporations, such as Exxon-Mobil (NYSE:XOM), CSX
(NYSE:CSX), Conoco (NYSE:COP), Dow Chemical (NYSE:DOW) and the Union Pacific
Railroad (NYSE:SP).

Trident's rare-earth magnets have been acquired for custom applications by the
United States Navy's Naval Sea Systems Command's (NAVSEA) Emergency Ship Salvage
Material (ESSM) http://www.essmnavy.net. The ESSM system is a mixture of bases
and other facilities that provide ship salvage, pollution control and
engineering equipment on an emergency basis. Additionally, the Canadian Military
Authority has acquired custom-designed Trident rare-earth magnets on an ongoing
basis for confidential applications.

"The assistance of Congressman LaHood's good offices to ProMag will be of great
help in our efforts to bring these products to the place in the market which
they deserve," said Mr. Dunn. "Trident and 21st Century are entering into an
exciting period of beneficial growth, ignited by the Department of Homeland
Security and our nation's need for enhanced security."

21st Century's Trident Technologies, Inc. Receives New Order for Additional Specialized Magnetic Tools For Canadian Military

FORT WORTH, Texas, Jul 21, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- 21st Century Technologies,
Inc. (OTCBB: TFCT), a rapidly growing homeland security company providing
equipment for disaster response applications, announced today that it has
designed and will manufacture and deliver to the Canadian Military authority 10
additional specialized tools employing technology used by its wholly owned
subsidiary, Trident Technologies, Inc., to produce high-tech high-powered
rare-earth magnets. This order is in addition to the 12 custom magnets order
completed in May 2003. Specific details for this custom order are not
releasable; however, the Canadians provide specifications for such custom work,
which is then engineered and built by Trident. Once prototypes are ready, they
are returned to Canada for field trials. Following the field trials, some
designs are accepted as is, and others may have additional design work
performed. The magnets employed operate on the same basic principles as
Trident's SeaPatch and ProMag leak-sealing devices. The Company is advised that
an additional order for custom magnets to Canadian specification will placed
with Trident during the month of September 2003.

In addition to the pending September 2003 order, the Canadian Military authority
has indicated that future opportunities will be forthcoming for Trident to
provide other custom-designed products to enhance mission capabilities. The
current order brings the number of Trident-supplied special design applications
to the Canadian Military authority to 52.

"Our relationship with the Canadian Military continues to be most satisfying,"
said Arland D. Dunn, President and CEO of 21st Century, and President of Trident
Technologies, Inc. "These unique applications should help enlarge our market
penetration within the United States military establishment as well. We already
have some specialized U. S. Navy applications."

Trident current provides its patented permanent rare-earth magnets to the Naval
Sea Systems Command's (NAVSEA) Emergency Ship Salvage Material (ESSM). The ESSM
system is a mixture of bases and other facilities that provide ship salvage,
pollution control and engineering equipment on an emergency basis.

Trident's powerful cam-off cam-on patented rare-earth permanent magnets are the
heart of its ProMag and SeaPatch leak and rupture-sealing devices being
established in the marketplace by Trident Technologies, Inc. www.tfctcorp.com
These devices are already in service with some of the world's largest companies,
such as Exxon-Mobil (NYSE:XOM), CSX (NYSE:CSX), Conoco (NYSE:COP), Dow Chemical
(NYSE:DOW) and the Union Pacific Railroad (NYSE:SPI).

"New applications of our permanent magnet technology can do nothing but broaden
our business base," said Mr. Dunn. "The power and permanence of these magnets is
startling. Our expectations that custom work will become a substantial part of
our business are being fulfilled."
