TEVA launches two non-substitutable Advair knockoffs in US market:

The first launched product is called AirDuo RespiClick. It includes the active ingredients in Advair (although in a different proportion) with TEVA’s proprietary breath-activated inhaler.

The second launched product (which TEVA is curiously referring to as an “authorized generic”) is the same product to be sold at a much lower price.

Neither of the two products mentioned above is approved for COPD, which is a large indication for GSK’s branded Advair.

Note: TEVA is also seeking FDA approval for a true (i.e. substitutable) Advair generic, but this product is probably a couple of years from reaching the market, according to TEVA’s recent statement.
