I think it important to not cherry pick the conversation, but to comment on the whole conversation.

You are absolutely correct about the cultural organization like UNESCO, but Mr. Kennedy also made it very clear that the old way of doing business with Important wrecks is no longer an accepted business strategy. From what I have read and understand, SFRX's approach is not not to "Blow and Go", but to document and excavate using international standards which is exactly how UNESCO would approach a wreck site. That is a sea change from how "treasure hunters" operate currently. SFRX will document and report so that the record is retained for generations to come. This model fits very well with these organizations and most likely the reason they are talking with SFRX.

SFRX is breaking the old model and embracing a new model. Are they right? Time will tell. I believe this business model is appropriate, but ultimately the market will dictate if this is a correct strategy. If the new model does work, and there is major collaboration with organizations like UNESCO and NOAA, SFRX has a very large and important first to market advantage. I would say their market advantage is measured in years.

It appears the only place SFRX is not respected is with the "old guard."
