I think most import because they can't grow it. Even though it's 50 state legal, the majority of hemp grown in U.S. is still for research purposes. That's my understanding but I could be wrong. The distributor I spoke to here in FL imports Hemp paste from Australia and finishes the refining process here. The distributor I spoke to in CO actually cultivates their own plants. There are other variables that contribute to costs, purity and intensity are the two main. Personally, I've been using a consumable oil from CO because of the cost. All I know is that the stuff works for me!
