I guess what I'm saying is the overhead on these are pennies to the dollar. I could still a vertical well, not having any contacts, for 400 grand or less. At today's prices I would only need to produce 8000 barels of oil. For example. We have a farm
Here in Oklahoma. Before the Mississippi play took off in our farms region, the only play was the misner sand. Located at 5300 feet. It's a channel sand so it was sparce. It was an ancient meandering river bed. Luckily our farm has several deposits. There were three wells drilled. Total cost, 1 million. This was about 20 years ago mind you. Produced over 140 thousand barels before we plugged them. Now get this. The deposits were only 6 feet to 19 feet thick. Straight vertical. I know the misner is a formation like no other, but you cannot disregard a simple and cheap straight hole. Now we they have drilled the Mississippi on the farm and the money is a ton better but so is technology. Just saying
