April 17-The dry condition continues. On the way home it sprinkled, and I thought, here comes a spring shower. Close but no cigar. It cleared up roughly an hour later into the early evening.

The lettuces are in peak condition. I left a business card at NcNinch House and at a restaurant that promotes farm to table uptown across from Starbucks.

I did managed to put in one each: Cherokee Purple tomato, Rosa Bianca eggplant, and a pepper I failed to label. It sits next to a Golden Marconi, which I hope turns out like an image I pasted from a Google file.

Jerry took four lettuce plants he'll try to market to some restaurants uptown. Maybe he'll take the last 10 Cherokee Purple tomato plants which desperately need to go into the ground.

I have enough compost for three more plants. Then I absolutely must get some aged horse manure on Wednesday.

Old Cadillacs never die. The finance company take 'em and faaaaade 'em away.
