I called SLS Galactic Headquarters twice this past week and spoke to the same person each time. I asked if there was someone there who would be handling any investor relations calls and he said that is one of the things he has been doing, among many. He had no specific title. I asked if there was to be any CC or shareholder's meeting.....didn't know...said to watch the website.
I asked if things were going well with Best Buy..."Yep, in my opinion they are", was the reply.
I said , can you at least tell me if there is some good news coming out......."Ohhhh yeah" was the reply. (It came across as a promising Oh Yeah!)
So we're not going out of business?....."Ohhhh No"and that was the extent of the conversation.
Nothing of any substance.....
I truly hope JG is working on securing business that will turn the existing inventory into cash, while maintaining and expanding this opportunity with Best Buy. We didn't get the exposure on the Apprentice necessary to create awareness of the SLS difference with the public.(I truly think Mark Burnett screwed himself out of some potential profit. With 5 minutes of good exposure ...the SLS story could have been told to the viewing audience, not just at the cocktail party.I compare the exposure we got to a streaker running through the Superbowl.) Competing in this low level arena without brand awareness and proper training of the sales people is an excercise in futility. Without a massive expensive ad campaign our products need to be displayed properly and demonstrated by someone who knows what the value of our products are, and how to compare them.One of the many things I am disappointed in, as I'm sure evryone is : what happened to Quincy? With his picture on the box,doesn't he want this to succeed?; isn't there anything he can do to help? Oprah show , or something? He could help with the brand awareness in my opinion....while we still have the Best Buy account. If we don't turn some numbers and do it consistently, and soon, our position at Best Buy may change.
Investwise---never called me as I had asked for. Oh well.No loss.
