Metroplex, McDonald would never turn over his fins to Jose and the gang, from what I hear, sounds like he had something to hide.

Tarragon, the owner took $20k from Jose's band of merry men and held him at bay with a lawyer, they couldn't afford to hire one themselves so he kept all of the money AVEW gave for in agreement to purchase Tarragon.

Countryside, likely AVEW's best more plausible venture, however AVEW could not come up with the funding to purchase, not to mention this is when all of the employees abandoned ship leaving Jose/Jay to clean up their mess.

AVEW has several judgements against them, 80k lawsuit, liens, unpaid taxes, 1000's in unpaid contractors, unpaid salaries, 1000's in notes they could not deliver on.
