What I don't understand is the huge disparity between the 2 parties?

— when Donald Trump won in 2016
–24.1 Democrats
+50.5 Republicans
74.6-point divide

Forget all the political crap and look at the stock market then add in world events. That +50.5 looks overly optimistic to me.
