Breaking just about even and enjoying the betting day sounds like a winner to me.
Checking Santa Anita, Gormley won the Santa Anita Derby. The pace was slow. Iliad finished 4th and American Anthem wasted the entry, finishing next to last.
Perhaps Classic Empire will be the Kentucky Derby winner? He races in the Arkansas Derby next week. We should get a good look at him in this tune-up race to the Big One. Unfortunately, I will be at another book signing and will miss the race. Tune me in for results.
If Classic Empire doesn't win handily then, as you said, it may be a field day for any one of the entrants.
