Very common. Those people aren't investing, just passing on a "story", with no incentive to do real DD.

Same with KPE, no skin off their back at this point, to contribute to the fluff, and get some free advertising.

How do all these people get duped

"It is easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled."

For those that don't get it, it means that people need to be more careful, and do good due diligence.
