The Boston Herald's Jeff Howe reports Monday's visit with free agent Adrian Peterson "didn't get to the point where (the Patriots) were willing to make an offer."
Howe is in the camp that believes there's no way the Patriots are signing Peterson. Howe suggests Peterson may have been hosted by Bill Belichick only for "scouting purposes," or to check on Peterson's health. Howe wrote he would be "surprised" if owner Bob Kraft OKed the Patriots signing Peterson, who missed all but one game of the 2014 season after committing child abuse.
