On the first day of the event, a Nigerian scientist, Dr. Jonathan Obaje, unveiled a product which he called “ Urah Transdermal glucosamine cream” for the treatment of Arthritis. The product, he disclosed, has passed through three years of research and clinical services in Singapore and Russia before it was granted a patent status in Nigeria. The medical breakthrough came a few weeks after NICOSAN, a drug meant for the management of sickle cell, was unveiled in the country.
