However I am still a non believer in CCTC's product...
That being said living in Wyoming I know the money is there and the state/people are desperate for something, anything to help the coal industry. Gillette has had a 30%+ drop in energy revenues due to the declining oil prices/rig counts/coal industry issues.(oil revenue is bouncing back a touch of late as rigs counts go up and WTI sits near 50) Much of the state is facing the same issues... We literally have Grand Teton/Yellowstone, UWYO(University of Wyoming for you non locals which employs most of Laramie), Holly Frontier refinery in Cheyenne (where I work), and ranching to support the states population without something to help PBR coal out. I fully expect Gillette or the State of Wyoming to get behind this if for no other reason than to be able to say they tried. All towns in Wyoming are small and in most cases we know our mayors and other elected officials on a personal basis... They have family and friends who are hurting and out of work with the state of the coal industry same as I do.
