Hes mistaken. 1.2 million were shorted last month, 2.7 million in March. Saying 150% were shorted in a time period would reflect that in volume. This stock has 113.3m float, so you'd see 160m traded at least in that time period. Those are etf numbers for shorting, not individual stocks. Even if it was clear as day, not that many people would bet on a stock going down that much.
