not only a better answer, but one that is Grrrrrrrr-ate :o)
Since everyone on planet Earth has FREE access to iHub,
while there is no FREE access to Silicon Investor to post,
there is no way for Sheriff Matt to prevent those Si folks,
of sandwhich all must be lifers or paying, to join iHub here
and be part of this community. The "no way" is not to mean
a preventive nature, but simply to not prevent access here.
Now here is the great opportunity for iHub to make
more sticky the touch'n of iHub by Si folks.
Presently a FREE iHub person has limited access,
and while a tier system may be incorporated, its will be
only for the best of the best of the best (top 1%) and not
address the wishes of 99% of current Si members that
want "better" than FREE access to iHub, WITHOUT paying.

Any Si member (aka in liftime or in paying mode) can join
iHub here as a FREE and obtain identical access to FREEs
not in an (maby) tier system, but they can choose to receive
without cost (possible later a la cart) ONE of the following.
Note: No item associated with ad revenue can be obtained.
- Ability to send Private Messages
- Search Messages for specific text
- Spell-Checking
- Public Message Archiving
- Mark Last Read (Favorites Page Tool)
So,
Paying Si members can join iHub as a FREE,
and select ONE of the above to be included in membership.
Upon termination from Si, or be non paying, you lose it.
