Don't be so smug it has happen before and will happen again. I been burned once, and this is working the same way, first a product, then a proto type, , but fail in the manufacture process. I am not saying it will I said its possible. waiting to tell the public, a delay is to occur when the product is suppose to ship is a red flag. but it is your money spend it how you want.
